My name is Claire!
My husband and I took over the management of Creative Kids Preschool in July 2013. I live locally with my husband and two children. I am university trained, holding a Bachelor of Teaching / Early Childhood. I hold a First Aid Certificate, Child Protection Certificate and an Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training. I have been in the industry for 20 years’ working with Pre-School children, either in a Child Care setting or a Pre-School setting. I continue on-going training each year and have covered many areas. I hold the position of Manager, Accounts Person, and Nominated supervisor at Creative Kids Preschool in Belmont South.
Personal Philosophy
"I am passionate about providing quality education for children and their families. I believe that all children have the right to enjoy and make discoveries, using their imagination and developing their curiosity. I aim to foster these skills through a play based program that revolves around interacting with our natural and built environment. All children need to be valued for who they are. One of my own children is autistic and I am appreciative for the different view of life that he has provided me. I am open to lots of different ways of learning and making meaning of life. I have also learnt to liaise with other health and educational professionals, and I recognise that learning is lifelong. I also value the roles of families. Families provide a sense of belonging to a group and a culture. They are the emotional support, role models and the best teachers for our children. I value the skills and experiences of the staff at Creative Kids Preschool. I aim to create a welcoming, homelike environment, where children can play whilst providing a structure and routine that is perfect for school!"

Personal Philosophy
"I believe every child should be given the opportunity to grow, to be loved, to Be and to Belong. I believe that every child is a unique person: that each child grows at their own developmental level and that each child comes from a family that have their own beliefs and values. All children need the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment. In a safe, loving, respectful environment, children have the greatest opportunity to grow and develop. I believe it is my duty to go above and beyond safety, love and respect. I, as an educator, should strive to create an environment that is fulfilling, enriching and supporting of all possible learning and growing opportunities and to ensure all children grow, learn, play and develop to their greatest ability and with a sense of belonging. I believe School readiness is an important part of the Preschool years and endeavour to ensure all children participate in our preschool program to achieve their greatest potential."

Hi, My name is Scarlett!
I’ve been working in childcare for four years now, but my passion for working with children started long before that. I discovered it through cheerleading, where I coached kids aged 1 and above. I absolutely love helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Outside of work, I live at home with my twin brother, my mum (who breeds Rag doll kittens!), our many cats, and my dad. I also live with my Partner and our dog Marley.
I’m Diploma qualified and trained in First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis. I currently work four days a week as a Diploma Educator and also hold the role of Responsible Person.
Personal Philosophy
“I believe that every child is unique, with their own interests, abilities, and way of learning. Each child grows and develops at their own pace, and it’s important to recognise and celebrate these differences. As an educator, my role is to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and confident to be themselves.
I aim to build strong, trusting relationships with each child and their family, as I believe a sense of belonging is the foundation for learning and wellbeing.
I am passionate about promoting each child’s wellbeing and identity by providing opportunities for them to express their thoughts and explore their interests whilst developing a positive self-image. By fostering respect, kindness, and understanding I hope to guide children in becoming confident, caring, and capable individuals who feel empowered to reach their full potential.”
All Staff that are employed by Creative Kids Preschool to work with children full time, must undergo and maintain a Working with Children Check (WWCC), Child Safe training, Child Protection Training, First Aid, CPR, and Safe food Handling certification.
