I am university trained, holding a Bachelor of Teaching / Early Childhood. I hold a First Aid Certificate, Child Protection Certificate and an Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training. I have been in the industry for 13 years’ working with Pre-School children, either in a Child Care setting or a Pre-School setting. I continue on-going training each year and have covered many areas. I hold the position of Director at Creative Kids Preschool in Belmont South, and i work at the centre Monday to Wednesday and Friday.
I am passionate about providing quality education for children and their families. I believe that all children have the right to enjoy and make discoveries, using their imagination and developing their curiosity. I aim to foster these skills through a playbased program that revolves around interacting with our natural and built environment. All children need to be valued for who they are, one of my own children is Autistic and I am appreciative for the different view of life that he has provided me. I am open to lots of different ways of learning and making meaning of life. I have also learnt to liaise with other health and educational professionals, and I recognise that learning is lifelong. I also value the roles of families. Families provide a sense of belonging to a group and a culture. They are the emotional support, role models and the best teachers for our children. I value the skills and experiences of the staff at Cretive Kids Preschool. I aim to create a welcoming, homelike environment, whilst providing a structure and routine that is perfect for school"

"I believe that every child is unique and should be given every opportunity to grow and learn no matter what challenges they face. I aim to provide a space for children to feel safe, secure and supported. All children should have the right to play, discover, imagine, improvise and question, no matter how small or how often, as it is an important aspect in the first five years of a child's development. I aim to nurture and extend on children's imaginations, strengths and struggles, while providing children with experiences to extend on their ideas of the world around them. I believe in building strong relationships with the families and communities around me to help me continue to grow and develop as an educator. Furthermore, I will strive to go above and beyond my duties for each individual child's needs, development and emotional wellbeing!"

"I believe every child should be given the opportunity to grow, to be loved, to Be and to Belong. I believe that every child is a unique person: that each child grows at their own developmental level and that each child comes from a family that have their own beliefs and values. All children need the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment. In a safe, loving, respectful environment children have the greatest opportunity to grow and develop. I believe it is my duty to go above and beyond safety, love and respect. I, as an educator, should strive to create an environment that is fulfilling, enriching and supporting of all possible learning and growing opportunities and to ensure all children grow, learn, play and develop to their greatest ability and with a sense of belonging."

" I believe that children's "work" is "play". I believe as an educator that the first five years are the most important years for children’s learning and development. I am passionate about educating children in their strengths and interests to extend on their learning using play to create, explore, discover and imagine.
All Staff that are employed to work with the children, full time or as a casual, must undergo a Working with Children Check.
